It doesn't seem possible but the post-season is nearly here! Our WWLL Tournaments will begin May 13th so check the schedule for games. And TOC begins on May 29th - schedule TBD.
And of course, it's time to think about All Stars. Little League has several divisions for All Stars, however only one - Majors Little League- is eligible to advance to Regionals and International play. All divisions, however, are eligible to compete in District and State tournaments. The schedule for these tournaments will be posted by District 8 in the next few weeks.
WWLL has decided to again forgo the player nomination format and allow any player who wishes to sign the committment form to try out for an All Star team in their divisional/age bracket. Tryouts will be held on Friday evening, June 15th and you must attend tryouts to be considered for a position on the All Star team.
As I've said in the past,as parents we should believe that everyone of our children is an All Star. The fact is, however, that we can only take just so many players, so that's why we leave it up to the All Star Managers, the regular season Managers and the coaches to make that decision. They formulate that decision based on regular season play (stats and evaluation), try-outs and the position need for their team.
If your son or daughter attends try outs but does not make the team, please be sure to congratulate them on their courage and belief in themselves. I know it may not seem like it, but they still look to you for guidance in how to handle disappointment as well as success!
The Commitment Form, Cover Letter and Policy can be found below. Please have the Commitment letter returned no later than May 18th.
And remember, these moments last a life time, so make them positive and enriching!!!

Community Events:
- Seatle University Softball is hosting the UW Huskies on Tuesday, May 22nd at their new home field at Bannerwood Park, Bellevue. The game will begin at 6PM and all Little League Players can attend for only $6 and with that you get a game ticket, a slice of pizza or a hot dog, a bag of popcorn and a bottled beverage. Sounds like fun!!
